Upland, a web3 strategy game with over 3 million accounts, distributed over $13.5 million to players’ PayPal accounts in December 2023.
Upland said in a press release that this demonstrates their commitment to delivering real-world value to players through virtual experiences.
Players can earn income through games, strategic investments and creations within the Highlands. This can be converted to Upland’s in-game currency (UPX) or withdrawn directly to USD via PayPal.
Upland partners with Tilia, a payments platform designed specifically for the GameFi industry, to process these payments. Their participation allows Upland to bridge the gap between the virtual and real worlds.
In addition, Upland remains compliant with U.S. regulations and provides a safe and trustworthy environment for users to explore virtual world opportunities.
Upland plans to launch Sparklet on Ethereum in the first quarter of 2024.
