Recently, Agricultural Bank of China announced the successful public issuance of 10 trillion VND bonds in 2023, attracting the participation of as many as 14,156 domestic and foreign individual and institutional investors.

But the banks mentioned above are just a handful of banks that successfully issued bonds in the last month of the year. Data from the Vietnam Bond Market Association (VBMA) showed that in December, a total of 55 individual corporate bonds were issued with a total value of VND42,806 billion. The average interest rate of this issuance is 7.06%/year, and the average term is 5.97 years.

It is worth noting that in December 2023, a whopping 44/55 of the bond issuance was issued by commercial banks.

The total amount of corporate bond issuance in 2023 reached VND311,240 billion, including 29 public issuances with an amount of VND37,071 billion (accounting for 11.9% of the total issuance) and 286 public issuances. 275,028 billion (88.1% of the total).
