Michael Saylor, founder of business intelligence giant MicroStrategy, has addressed the Bitcoin community, warning them of new threats posed by the continued development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology. In mid-December, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson issued a similar warning.

The founder of MicroStrategy shared with his followers on social media platform X/Twitter that his security team has taken down deepfake videos on YouTube that were created with the help of artificial intelligence.

According to the Bitcoin evangelist, the scam videos feature cryptocurrency giveaway scams, Bitcoin transactions, and content about Thaler himself every 15 minutes. His tweet included several “warning sign” emojis.

“Be aware of what’s out there and remember there is no free lunch,” he warned the community.

The screenshot posted by Saylor shows “him” talking about a Bitcoin ETF that could push the price of Bitcoin to $1 million.

One commentator responded to an AI-generated video excerpt in which “Saylor” spoke on the “PBD” podcast, describing a “giveaway” and urging users to scan a QR code and send Bitcoin to receive double the amount – typical Cryptocurrency scam schemes.

In December 2023, scammers equipped with artificial intelligence tools recorded videos impersonating Charles Hoskinson, and now they have chosen Michael Saylor because he is an outspoken Bitcoin evangelist and a prominent figure in the business and financial world.
