Phantom’s choice of Bitcoin as the next supported blockchain coincides with the inscription craze that has been spreading on the blockchain over the past two months, despite many differing opinions within the Bitcoin community itself.
On December 21, Phantom electronic wallet officially supports users to buy, sell, trade and hold tokens on the Bitcoin network, including BTC, Ordinals and BRC-20 tokens.

Additionally, Phantom allows users to link created Bitcoin wallets to the application, providing fund management features and viewing detailed transaction history. Additionally, users have the right to activate optional Bitcoin upgrades such as SegWit or Taproot.
When talking about supporting the Bitcoin network, the Phantom development team emphasized: “Without Bitcoin, there would be no Solana, Ethereum or the web3 industry. Therefore, Phantom is proud to support BTC and BRC-20 tokens on its products.”
It is understood that Phantom is a cryptocurrency wallet developed specifically for the Solana network. However, in April 2023, Phantom began to pursue a multi-blockchain strategy while integrating Ethereum and Polygon.
