The news prompted a long candle jump in XRP price as high as $0.582. This is contrary to the general backdrop across the cryptocurrency market this morning (January 8, 2024). Currently, XRP is trading at around $0.56, having fallen slightly over the past 24 hours.
Vinfast has yet to respond following the rumors. Additionally, there is currently no information or official sources related to Vinfast accepting XRP as a payment method. However, there is no precedent in this regard in Vietnam.
Around the world, Ferrari has previously announced that it will accept cryptocurrency payments in the United States. Therefore, investors should exercise caution before making their own decisions.
In addition to rumors of Vinfast accepting XRP as a means of payment, the community also expects an XRP ETF to launch in April 2024. The timing coincides with the possible end of the lawsuit between the SEC and Ripple after years of litigation. The fact that XRP is not considered a security is said to be one of the main drivers supporting the upcoming adoption of an XRP ETF.
