MBB finalizes right to attend 2024 shareholders meeting on January 18

Investing.com – Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (HM:) has published documents announcing its plans to organize its annual shareholder meeting in 2024.

Therefore, the deadline for the list of shareholders entitled to attend the 2024 General Meeting of Shareholders is January 18, 2024. The last registration date for shareholders entitled to nominate candidates for membership to the MB Board of Directors and Supervisory Boards for 2024-2029 is also January 18. In addition, the announcement stated that MB is expected to hold a shareholders’ meeting in Hanoi on April 19.

As of the end of 2022, MB’s major shareholders include: Military Telecommunications Group (Viettel), holding 641 million shares, equivalent to 14.14%; State Capital Investment and Trading Corporation (SCIC), holding 427 million shares, holding 9.42%; Vietnam Helicopter Company It holds 371 million shares, equivalent to 8.2%; Saigon New Port Company holds 327 million shares, equivalent to 7.2%.

The financial report shows that MB’s pre-tax profit in the third quarter increased by nearly 16% compared with the same period last year, reaching 728.3 million VND, and after-tax profit was 5.82 trillion VND.

In the first nine months of this year, MB’s pre-tax profit exceeded VND20 trillion, a year-on-year increase of 10%, completing 76% of the full-year profit plan (a 15% increase over the previous year). The profit of the parent bank alone reached VND18,866 billion, an increase of 15%.

MB is the third most profitable bank after Vietcombank (HM:) and Agribank, and ranks first among holding groups.

In 2023, MB also completed the payment of cash dividends at a rate of 5% and stock dividends at a rate of 15% in the third quarter, helping to increase registered capital from VND 45,340 billion (March 31, 2023) to December 2022 month) VND 52,141 billion.
